2024-03 LEG Up!: Let’s Talk… Relationships, Sex and Your Body (Ages 13-25)
LEG Up! is partnering with WWDSS to offer a 6-course program for building independence skills. Participants will learn how to build healthy relationships, make informed decisions about sex, think critically about the world around them as well as how to take care of their “self” and their body.
By the end of this course, students will have a better understanding of the following topics:
Week 1: Friendship
Learn to how to be a friend, make friends and what to do to build better friendships. We will talk about tips for communicating and problem solving with your friends.
Week 2: Relationships
Let’s talk about different relationships we see in our community. We will talk about LTGBQ2s+, pronouns, safe people and understanding relationships with others.
Week 3: Knowing Your Body
Learn about body changes, anatomy, sexual health, and hygiene, as well as discuss the difference between private and public.
Week 4: Taking Care of Your Body
Understand the importance of taking care of your physical self (body) and your emotional self (mind). We will discuss hygiene and positive self talk.
Week 5: All You Need to Know about Sex
Let’s talk about sex, how babies are made, how to prevent pregnancy and keep yourself
safe when you are ready to have sex.
Week 6: Consent and Boundaries
Learn about consent and why it is essential to have your own boundaries and respect others' boundaries in relationships.
DATES: Thursdays, March 20 to April 24, 2025

COST: $60 (WWDSS Members Only, Subsidized by WWDSS)
