2021-04 Online Social Skills Groups - Ages 14-21 7-8 PM

Are you interested in having your child, teen or young adult practice and further develop their SOCIAL SKILLS?
WWDSS is pleased to partner with McLennan Speech & Language Services to offer online social skills groups for members with Down syndrome. Join Heather McLennan and her team on ZOOM to practice communicating with peers! Group sessions will revolve around topics of common interest: your family, movies, what do you like to do on the weekend...Goals will include responding to questions, initiating questions and communicating together with friends. Heather will lead the groups with a Communicative Assistant and Volunteers.

DATES: Mondays Apr 19, 26, May 3, 10, 17, 31, Jun 7, 14
AGE GROUP: 14-21 years old
TIME: 7:00pm - 8:00pm (and 5:30pm - 6:30pm if needed)
WHERE: Online over Zoom – a link and passcode will be sent to those who register
COST:   $200.00 ($25 per class)

Registration deadline is April 5, 2021
A minimum of 5 registrants is required for the program to proceed.
