Amy is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) who earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Waterloo, her Advanced Diploma of Behaviour Science Technology with Distinction at St. Lawrence College and her Masters of Science in Psychology with a concentration in Applied Behaviour Analysis at Purdue Global University, where her thesis was published.
Amy has worked with children, youth and adolescents in a group home setting, school settings, in-home and in clinical settings. She has also worked with adults with various mental health conditions in a hospital setting. Amy has training in the principles of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), a certificate in Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Group therapy, Crisis intervention and prevention.
Amy began working in this field knowing she would be helping others. Her favourite part of her job is hearing families’ successes at home or in the community. She will never forget the moment someone told her their child said they loved them for the first time.
