About WWDSS

Who We Are

The Waterloo Wellington Down Syndrome Society (Formally Waterloo Regional Down Syndrome Society) is a charitable, non-profit organization created in 1988 by parents of children with Down syndrome.

We are entirely run by volunteers, therefore every dollar we raise goes towards helping fund the programs and services of the WWDSS.

We are dedicated to:

  • Providing a social and information network for parents/families
  • Advocating for persons with Down syndrome to lead healthy and active lives in our community
  • Assisting the inclusion of people with Down syndrome into the community
